Introduced in “Greater TOKYO” as Mindful Nights in a Living Temple

We have been featured on Greater TOKYO, operated by the Kanto Regional Tourism Organization (KTTO), a general incorporated association.

Greater Tokyo

What Is Greater TOKYO?

“Greater TOKYO” is the name of a tourism zone that treats the area as a single network, from Narita and Haneda, Japan’s two international gateway airports, through Tokyo and on to the wider Kanto area where rich nature and history live on.
It does not simply mean a large metropolitan area; it means a “treasure trove of experiences” where urban functions and beautiful nature blend, and where every visit brings new discoveries.

Japan’s Largest “Trip Hub”

Narita and Haneda airports are Japan’s largest gateways, used by about 40% of international visitors to Japan. The greatest appeal of Greater TOKYO lies in this excellent access. One of the world’s finest rail networks extends across the entire region, and with Tokyo as your base (Trip Hub), you can easily and seamlessly enjoy short trips to the surrounding areas.

Experience Your First “JAPAN,” All in One Place

Greater TOKYO condenses everything of “Japan” that visitors are looking for.

  • Inheriting culture: Experiences that strongly carry on the “Edo culture” loved around the world, such as sushi, ukiyo-e and bushido.
  • Diverse activities: Taking advantage of the changing seasons and terrain rich in elevation differences, from winter sports to outdoor activities, it is packed with attractions that cannot be fully enjoyed in a single trip.

The Efforts of the Kanto Regional Tourism Organization (KTTO)

The Kanto Regional Tourism Organization, a general incorporated association, defines Greater TOKYO as “an area where you can fully enjoy Japanese culture right after arriving in Japan,” and promotes regional revitalization as a wide-area partnership DMO.
Greater TOKYO, where urban energy and rural charm coexist. It is the ideal field for experiencing the appeal of Japan more easily and more deeply.
