This facility originally had three Japanese-style rooms. We removed one room to arrange chairs and tables. By converting that removed room into an earthen floor space, we were able to create a three-dimensional feel inside. The bedroom is a total of 14 tatami mats.

After removing the tatami, we also removed the closets! We removed the closets on both sides of the facility. The east side was transformed into a workspace, and the west side into a closet. This exquisite sense of openness feels just right. It’s the associate priest’s favorite space.
