In order to ensure a safe and comfortable stay for all guests, our facility has established the following rules of use in accordance with Article 9 of the Accommodation Agreement. We ask for your cooperation in reading through these rules. We also ask that you follow instructions from our facility in accordance with these terms and conditions and the rules of use. If you do not abide by these rules of use, we will refuse to allow you to use our facilities or stay at our facility in accordance with Article 4 of the Accommodation Agreement.

Please note that the facility will not be held responsible for any damages incurred by guests who do not abide by these rules. Similarly, if any damage is caused to the facility, you will be required to compensate for such damages.

About using this facility

  1. Use of this facility for commercial purposes is prohibited.
  2. Please do not distribute or post advertising materials or sell goods on the premises of our facility without permission from our facility.
  3. We do not permit any promotional activities, such as distributing flyers or collecting signatures, on the premises of our facility.
  4. Please refrain from displaying any items that may alter the appearance of the facility.
  5. Minors may be refused accommodation without parental permission.

About the facility

  1. Please make sure that the front door is locked during your stay.
  2. If you have a visitor in your guest room, please leave the door locked and check who it is, and be careful not to unlock it carelessly if someone suspicious comes.
  3. Please refrain from using guest rooms to meet with visitors.
  4. Please refrain from inviting or allowing anyone other than the registered guest and accompanying person to stay in your room in accordance with Article 7 of the Accommodation Agreement.
  5. In accordance with Article 14 of the Accommodation Agreement, staff may enter guest rooms and move items within the room. Please keep your cash and valuables in your own care, and if there is anything that should not be moved, please let us know in advance.

About the temple

  1. Our facility is located within the grounds of a temple with a history of approximately 700 years.
  2. There are restrictions on the areas that guests can use, so please do not enter the designated areas.
  3. As the temple is home to many cultural assets, security cameras have been installed within the temple grounds.

Hygiene management

  1. If any of the following apply to you, we may ask you to refrain from using the facilities or staying at the hotel, and we may restrict your movement within the building.
    1. If you suspect you may be infected with food poisoning such as norovirus.
    2. If you are suspected of being infected with an infectious disease designated in the Act on Prevention of Infectious Diseases and Medical Care for Patients with Infectious Diseases and its Enforcement Regulations.

Smoking

Smoking is prohibited in all areas of this facility, including guest rooms and the courtyard garden.

Regarding fire handling

Please be careful when using BBQs, pizza ovens, or bonfires. As this is an area rich in natural surroundings, even a flying spark can pose a fire risk. Please note that use may be restricted depending on weather conditions.

Pets

  1. Pets are allowed, but please refrain from bringing them into the Japanese-style rooms, kitchen, or bathrooms of our facility. The dirt floor area is the only area where pets can spend time. Please note that if we find that your pet is using any area other than the dirt floor, you will be charged a cleaning fee. Assistance dogs for the physically disabled as defined by the Assistance Dogs for Persons with Disabilities Act will be handled in accordance with that law.
  2. Pets are not allowed in the bathroom.
  3. Sleeping with pets and entering the bedroom are prohibited.
  4. The towels provided in the bathroom are not for pets. They are for guests’ use, so please refrain from using them on pets. If we find that you have used them, we may ask you to pay compensation by providing an equivalent item.
  5. Please be considerate of other guests and the next guest when disposing of excrement, etc.
  6. In addition, please check and agree to the advance confirmation form sent to those bringing pets before using the facility.

Consideration for surrounding residents

  1. The area around our facility is a rural town rich in nature. Please refrain from loud voices, singing, turning up the volume of televisions or sound equipment, or making any other loud noises, especially at night.
  2. Please be careful about the volume of your TV speakers and Bluetooth speakers.

Public order and morals

  1. Please refrain from gambling, any behavior that disrupts public morals, or any speech or behavior that violates public order and morals.
  2. We do not allow the bringing of firearms, swords, drugs, or any other items that are not permitted to be possessed by law onto the premises of our facility.
  3. We do not allow anyone to bring onto our premises anything that may cause concern or threaten the safety of nearby residents or staff.
  4. If it is discovered that a guest or a companion is a member of an organized crime group designated under the Act on Prevention of Unjust Acts by Organized Crime Group Members, or an anti-social group or a member of such a group, we will refuse all future use of the hotel.
  5. If a guest or related parties are found to have engaged in acts of violence, intimidation, blackmail, coercion, or obstruction of business by force, we will refuse all future use of the facility.
  6. If a guest or a related party violates the law, or if there is a reasonable possibility that they may do so, we will refuse them any further use of the facility.

Regarding the maintenance of buildings and facilities

  1. Please refrain from moving any equipment or fixtures on the premises of our facility to other locations, modifying them, or using them for purposes other than their intended use.
  2. Please do not bring any flammable or combustible items such as gunpowder or volatile oils into the building.
  3. Please refrain from using any fires for heating or cooking in the guest rooms (except for those that are pre-installed).
  4. Please refrain from any actions that may cause a fire on the premises of this facility.
  5. If the building, facilities, equipment, plants, etc. are lost, damaged, soiled, or smelly, you may be required to pay compensation for the damages.

About personal belongings and lost property

  1. Please keep your belongings, including cash and valuables, in your own care. The facility will not be held responsible for any loss or damage.
  2. Any items found in the common areas of our facility or in guest rooms after check-out will be stored for a certain period of time and then disposed of in accordance with the law.
  3. If there are any costs incurred in returning items found at our facility to their owners, the owners will be responsible for these costs.
  4. If you intentionally or accidentally leave oversized garbage or other personal belongings that require disposal fees in your guest room or in the common areas on the premises of this facility, we will charge you a reasonable amount as our agency fees in addition to the disposal fees in accordance with the law.If we do not receive any contact regarding your personal belongings within one week of the date of check-out, we will assume that they were left there intentionally.

Regarding brought-in food and beverages

In principle, you are allowed to bring in food and drinks that you have purchased yourself, such as alcohol and meat, but please refrain from bringing in the following items.

  1. Food and drink that has a strong smell and may linger in the guest room when eaten or cooked, causing a disruption to the surrounding area or the reception of the next guest.

Examples: Kusaya, durian, etc.

  1. Ingredients and seasonings that contain excessive amounts of spices and may transfer color or odor to dishes or cooking utensils.
  2. Raw fish and animal innards

Items that leave a fishy smell inside the facility and on tableware and other equipment, such as cutting raw fish, removing scales, or gutting meat.

Garbage disposal

We understand that a lot of trash will be generated when using the facilities outdoors, such as for BBQs, or when staying for multiple nights. If the trash cannot fit in the trash can in your room, please move the trash to the dustbin at the back of the accommodation and change into a new trash bag yourself. Also, if you need trash collection, please let us know.

About settlement

  1. Please pay by credit card by the day of check-in, or transfer the payment in advance to the bank account designated by our facility.
  2. Payment can only be made in Japanese yen in cash, by accepted credit card, or by any other method approved by the facility.
  3. If you wish to change the accommodation plan you have reserved, please notify our facility. If you wish to extend your stay, a new accommodation contract will be concluded and you will be required to pay the additional fee.

  1. Please check the evacuation route map and emergency exits on each floor.
  2. Please refrain from entering or using any temple grounds other than this facility except in emergencies or unavoidable circumstances. In addition, entry to pre-designated areas such as the temple quarters is prohibited.
  3. Please refrain from leaving your belongings outside the entrance.
